We met a couple from Arkansas in the computer room at the guest house. We thought we wouldn't be able to post pictures until we got home but they were much smarter than we are so you can now see our new daughter.
Here she is! Isn't she cute?
Daddy (Appa) and Ellie (Yeong Ah). Her foster family calls her by her Korean name. She has been Ellie to us for a long time but now we find ourselves calling her Yeong Ah.
oh my word, she is just precious! You guys look so happy.
ReplyDeleteI remember too that in Korea it was hard to think of our kids with their "new" names- even for awhile after they came home.
I hope the weather gets better there! We had a nice thunderstorm here last night. ;D
Holy cuteness! Except for the weather, everything else sounds like it is going very well. Can't wait to see and hold Ellie when you get back.
ReplyDeleteIt may have been 90 degrees yesterday, but it will be low 50's and a good chance of rain for Saturday and Sunday.
Have fun the next couple days!
Wow! She is adorable and so blessed to have you guys!! Can't wait to meet her in person some day... sounds like you are having a great time truly experiencing the culture! Love reading the updates!! :-) If ever the day comes when we can do something similar, it will be nice knowing someone who's "been there" recently!! :-)
ReplyDeleteDon't feel to out of luck. It's 42 degrees right now and looking like drizzle :)
ReplyDeleteEllie is adorable!
(oh, and do try the squid. When we were in Greece I accidentally ordered a dish that had whole fish that were simply boiled [so I was lucky enough to even get the innards].....turns out it was absolutely DELICIOUS.)
Smarter than you? Nah... Just *not* jetlagged at that first meeting. Congrats - she's beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful!! I know you are SOOOOO excited!!
